What is vegetable-tanned leather?
We use Italian vegetable-tanned leather for all our leather products. This process uses natural tannins from plants such as branches, leaves and bark to colour the leather. This gives the leather an intense green colour that only gets more beautiful with time. The tanning process takes one to three months and vegetable-tanned leather often has a longer lifespan than chrome-tanned leather.
