How do I measure the correct size for a Y-harness?

What if my dog ​​falls between two sizes?

Does your dog fall between two sizes? Then please contact us. We can probably easily adjust the size, or choose a custom-made Y-harness.

Can I have a custom Y-harness made?

At Cooper & Quint, you can have a custom-made Y-harness. Does your dog not fit well within our standard sizes or does he have an unusual build? Then we can make the harness completely custom-made.

Can my dog ​​swim with a leather Y-harness?

All leather harnesses from Cooper & Quint are made from vegetable-tanned leather. Water can cause the leather to discolour and dry out more quickly.

Has the leather gotten wet? Remove the harness and do not leave it on when you get home. Allow the harness to air dry slowly after swimming and care for the leather regularly with a suitable leather care product.

Does your dog enjoy swimming in the sea? Then make sure to rinse the harness thoroughly with water and dry it with a cloth. Then let it air dry further. This prevents salt residue from remaining in the leather.

What are the advantages of a Y-harness compared to a chest harness?

A Y-harness runs in a Y-shape across the chest, leaving more room around the shoulders. This can be more comfortable for your dog's freedom of movement. Additionally, the harness is highly adjustable around the neck and chest, allowing you to fine-tune the fit precisely.
