Cooper & Quint is working step by step towards a smaller paw print

Cooper & Quint is the answer to the growing demand for sustainable dog accessories. Since the start in 2017, the sisters, Jacobien and Judith, have been working on a range of dog accessories of collars, leashes, toys and other accessories that are good for dog, owner and nature.

100% plastic free

In a market dominated by plastic supply, it is difficult for consumers to make a sustainable choice. “In our search for products for our dogs, we noticed that products that are fun for the dog are often not fun for nature. From the plastic toy to the plastic dog poop bag and the polyester leash, this had to be different in our opinion. That is why we started Cooper & Quint,” says Judith van den Briel, owner of Cooper & Quint. The sisters carefully select all materials for their products from companies based in Europe. From GOTS certified cotton to certified vegetable tanned leather from Italy, all
materials are chosen based on sustainability, quality and aesthetics, all 100% plastic-free. This way Cooper & Quint ensures that every item is made with the smallest possible paw print and is also timeless and stylish.

Vegetable tanned leather

A large part of the range consists of leather collars and leashes. Cooper & Quint uses certified vegetable tanned leather from Tuscany, Italy. Vegetable tanned leather does not contain any toxic substances that are harmful to humans or animals and is very tolerant to people and animals that suffer from metal related allergies. No animal is killed for its
skin. On the contrary, the raw hides used by tanneries are the discarded by-products of the food industry that produces meat for human consumption.

Craftsmanship and personal attention

All products from the current and future collections are designed by the sisters themselves, personally tested and handmade in a small workshop in Weesp. By using old crafts, such as leatherworking, there is a range suitable for all sizes and types
dogs available. Personal attention and good customer service ensure high customer ratings. With these assets Cooper & Quint offers a distinctive range in both the Netherlands and Belgium.
